The holiday season is fast approaching and freight hauling is in high demand. These factors, combined with America’s growing trucker shortage, mean we need your help. Here at Double D Distribution, we’re always looking to add talented, hard-working drivers to our team. Do you have what it takes? If so, we want to hear from you.
Class A CDL. We regularly haul heavy freight, including asphalt, crude oil, and potable water, across the intermountain west from Utah and Nevada to northern Arizona and western Wyoming. To join our team, you must have a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements. Class A certification means you’re trained and certified to operate vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, provided your towing vehicle is over 10,000 pounds. This includes tractor-trailers, flatbeds and most Class B and Class C vehicles.
Safety oriented. Everything we do revolves around safety. This means always wearing your seatbelt, knowing how and when to apply snow chains, experience driving on treacherous mountain roads, and a willingness to adhere to all posted speed limits. It also means paying attention to the weather, alerting your supervisors to potential safety hazards and augmenting your professional skills whenever possible. If you tend to rush through things, don’t bother applying.
Two years of professional trucking experience. We love giving up-and-comers the opportunity to grow, but we require all of our drivers to have at least two years of professional trucking experience. We firmly believe that two full years of experience provide a solid foundation for the work that we do. If you’ve just started truck driving, don’t be discouraged. Keep your nose to the grindstone and reapply in a few year’s time.
Do you meet all of these qualifications? If so, we want to hear from you. Visit our website to apply today. We look forward to hearing from you.
