As you probably know, at Double D Distribution we’re pretty big fans of the Harley-Davidson brand. In fact, saying that we’re big fans is probably putting it too mildly. That’s why when something new or cool comes along involving a Harley, we feel compelled to share it with our followers.
This January, a rare Harley hit the auction block in Las Vegas, and it’s a sight to behold. Originally produced as a military-inspired vehicle, the bike looks the part. From it’s camouflage-green coloring to its protective casings, it’s a Harley that appears to be made for the front lines, but it will serve you just as well on America’s city streets.
Fewer than 500 of these bikes were made beginning in 1993 and running through 2000, so the opportunity to purchase this machine is a relatively rare occurrence. This particular model was made in 1999 at the company’s York, Pennsylvania factory, and it includes plastic gun casings and front-mounted ammo panniers. The top speed for this bike is estimated to be 90 mph, which would offer the rider plenty of power and acceleration for virtually every road in America.
We hope whoever ended up with this incredibly cool bike knows how lucky they are. Better yet, we hope they’ll let us take it for a spin some day!
